“Art attracts us only by what it reveals of our most secret self.” –Jean-Luc Godard
I’m random. I plan. I act on impulse. Some of my tattoos have meaning and are very special to me. Some are spur of the moment fun memories shared with friends.
I can’t say I regret having some of my tattoos, but I do admire some over others. I’ve had a couple covered up or fixed and that’s fine with me. (Lessons learned!)
Tattoos are never ending. I will get tattooed until the day I die. My flesh is a canvas of stories told, memories shared, feelings, loves, special interests, and pictures representing my life.
To judge anyone’s choice of body art is foolish. To inquire the story behind the art is a learning experience. Just like looking into someone’s eyes and seeing their soul.
My favorite tattoos are all derby related or cat like. It represents my love, my life, and my personality. I have had several different tattoo artists put their work on me, as I feel like an art collector. Different people have different styles.
And in the words of Stephen King, “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.”
Signed, a tattooed girl name Kitty.
